Nigerian photographer Kozzo cries out after EFCC’s alleged wrongful arrest

- Photographer, Young Kozzo, has cried out following his arrest by officials of the EFCC

- He shared how he was released after his bank accounts showed no history of online fraud

- The music producer said his outcry is an attempt to clear wrong impressions about him

Nigerian photographer and music producer identified as Young Kozzo has taken to social media in a bid to clear his name following his arrest by officials of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on the basis of his involvement in internet fraud.

According to Kozzo, on the particular day he was arrested, he had only been in a studio in Abuja working with fellow creatives for a 3-day video project.

However, in an unexpected turn of events, Kozzo claimed that some EFCC officials stormed the studio and arrested everyone present following an anonymous tip they received.

He added that the greatest mistake he made was to tell the officers that he was not involved in any fraudulent activities, as his attempt to exonerate himself only fetched him several slaps and pepper spray in the eyes.

"Saying I was not involved in any fraudulent activity even caused me more drills as I was slapped mercilessly with pepper spray in my eyes." he said.

Recounting more of his experience, Kozzo disclosed that after spending some days in the custody of the anti-graft agency, he and another colleague identified as @beat_boi, were released on bail after a thorough scrutiny of their social media and bank accounts showed no signs of fraudulent activities.

Concluding his outcry, the photographer noted that his post was a disclaimer to clear wrong impressions that he is a yahoo boy.
