President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, May 27, received the asset declaration form from the chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) Professor Muhammad Isa.
The document was presented to President Buhari at the State House, Abuja, in preparation for the inauguration of his second term which has been fixed for Wednesday, May 29.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported that President Buhari and his vice, Y emi Osinbajo had been given until Tuesday, May 28, the CCB to submit their assets declaration forms.
This was made public by the chief press secretary of the CCB, Charity Utok, who revealed that outgoing lawmakers in the National Assembly have Saturday, June 8, as their deadline to the same.
Utok also said that public office holders affected by the directed include the president, the vice-president, president and deputy president of the Senate, speaker and deputy speaker of the House of Representatives and speakers and deputy speakers of state Houses of Assembly and all members of legislative houses.
