Nigerians react to death of missing 26-year-old lady Adewura found in canal

- 26-year-old Nigerian lady, Adewura Latifat Bello, lost her life while she was coming back home from work

- The young lady had been reported missing by her family weeks before she was found dead

The 26-year-old lady, Adewura Latifat Bello, who was reported missing on Wednesday, May 15, has reportedly been found dead in a canal in Lagos state. Her family had reported her missing weeks before she was found.

After she was reported missing, Nigerians on Twitter began to search for her using the platform. Photos of Adewura were shared on the platform, with calls to action asking for information on her whereabouts.

However, the news broke on Sunday, May 27 that the young lady reportedly fell into a manhole while she was heading back home from work on a motorcycle in a heavy rain.

Nigerians are currently mourning the 26-year-old's loss on Twitter. Tweets wishing are a peaceful rest have been shared on the platform.

In the tweets, Nigerians expressed that the country's political leaders are not the only ones to blame for bad things, but the citizens too.

Some expressed that the government should have sealed off the manholes after the lids were stolen by unknown persons in other to avoid such accidents.

Others expressed heartbreak over the young lady's death. They noted that they had hoped she would return home safely.

Another user noted that going missing for 72 hours in Nigeria means the person is dead. He stated that he lost his uncle the same way.

Meanwhile, a days before she was found dead, Legit.ng had claimed that a Nigerian man had alleged that he knew where she was. They man claimed that his neighbors kidnapped the lady and she was being kept in their house.
