- Kalidou Koulibaly has emerged as a summer transfer target for Real Madrid
- The Spanish club are said to have made massive £79m bid to sign the Senegalese
- Koulibaly is also wanted by Premier League giants Manchester United
Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly made a £79 million bid for Napoli and Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly who is also wanted by Manchester United.
But Napoli are understood to have rejected the initial offer immediately which gives Manchester United the hope of landing their long term target this summer.
According to Calciomercato, Napoli are not interested in selling Kalidou and are unwilling to budge unless a foreign team meets the defender's £132m release clause.
Real Madrid may now go back with an increase fee so as to convince Napoli chiefs for them to sell the 27-year-old strong defender.
That means Manchester United will need to act fast if they want to get a deal done with the Senegalese international.
He was a target for former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, but Ed Woodward did not get a deal done.
Kalidou under contract until 2023 but is seen as a suitable replacement in the heart of the Real Madrid defense.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly planning a world record fee of £90 million for Senegal international Kalidou Koulibaly who currently plays for Napoli.
Koulibaly has been impressive for the Italian club since last season and many other Premier League sides are also interested in signing him this summer.
