Police arrest Anambra pastor for kidnapping 11-year-old boy

- A pastor in Anambra, Samuel Emeka, has been arrested by the police for allegedly kidnapping an 11-year-old boy

- The police confirmed that the arrest was carried out in the Awkuzu, Oyi local government area of the state

- The police also reported that after the arrest, the victim was rescued and returned to his mother in good condition

The police command in Anambra has arrested a 30-year old pastor, Samuel Emeka, for allegedly kidnapping an 11-year old boy in Awkuzu, Oyi local government area of the state.

Premium Times reports that Emeka kidnapped the victim, Ikechukwu Ozoekwe, at Umoubi community in the state.

Emeka had dragged Ozoekwe into his car's boot and was in motion when policemen caught up with him.

Confirming the development, the police spokesperson in the state, Haruna Mohammed, disclosed that the suspect was arrested alongside his accomplice, Samuel Emeka, adding that Ozoekwe was rescued and returned to his mother in good state.

Mohammed said: “On the May 21 at about 5:30 pm, Police operatives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested one Pastor Nweke Chijioke ‘m’ aged 33 years and Samuel Emeka ‘m’ aged 30 years all of Awkuzu in Oyi LGA of Anambra state.

“Suspects had on the May 18 at about 4:30pm allegedly abducted one Ikechukwu Ozoekwe ‘m’ aged 11 years at Akwuzu Umoubi and bundled him inside their vehicle boot.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a man identified as Owolabi Ismail on Twitter recently announced that a Nigerian pastor named Ademuwagun SA is missing.

According to Ismail, the pastor had embarked on a journey on Sunday, May 19, 2019. He was meant to travel from Osogbo to Akure.

However, the last time anyone heard from him was 5:30pm of the same day. All efforts to reach him have been in vain. On this note, Owolabi Ismail called the attention of Nigerians to this and prayed they help search for the missing man.
