Presidency and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have reacted to the Supreme Court's judgement that sacked all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state.
Legit.ng reports that Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on new media, expressed sadness on his twitter handle over the development, saying, "We lost Zamfara, so painful."
Reacting to the judgement, the national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, said: "Illegality can never stand the test of time."
He congratulated the party's governorship candidate in the state, Bello Muhammed, for being declared as the next governor of the state by the Supreme Court. He described it as big win for democracy.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that a five-member panel of justices, in the Supreme Court on Friday, May 24, nullified all votes cast for the APC in the 2019 elections in Zamfara state.
In the court's ruling, given by Justice Paul Adamu Galinji, the panel said that the APC in the state did not carry out primaries according to the party regulations.
