Sensational Nigerian singer Simi has finally reacted to the arrest of hip-hop artist Naira Marley by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Recall that some weeks ago the songbird was in the thick of social media discussions as she steered a conversation on why Nigerians need to change their mindsets about internet fraud.
Simi’s position on cyber crime, however, ruffled some feathers and did not go down well with people who have made several attempts to glorify the ill and make it look good, especially in their music.
Few weeks after making her stance known on social media, singer Naira Marley, who was among those that came after the singer for her position on internet fraud, was arrested by the EFCC.
Although Simi has remained quiet amidst the whole drama of Marley with the anti-graft agency, a follower on Instagram recently made her open up.
In a question and answer series session that is popular on Instagram Story, a fan quizzed the Ayo crooner about Naira Marley’s arrest and how she feels about the development.
Simi responded by categorically stating that she is not happy about the situation. See a screenshot below:
Still on a Naira Marley related story, Legit.ng gathered the report of veteran rapper, Ruggedman, who released a statement on social media in which he cleared the air on his involvement in the hip-hop act’s arrest.
Ruggedman divulged that even if he initially expressed satisfaction at the development, he completely had nothing to do with it.
