Former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, has congratulated his successor Governor Kayode Fayemi over his election as the chairman of Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF).
Legit.ng reports that Fayose on Thursday, May 23, wrote on his verified Twitter handle, that Fayemi deserved the appointment, adding that despite their political differences, he wished the governor success in his new assignment.
According to the former governor, politics will come and go but Ekiti state will remain eternal.

Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress defeated Fayose’s favoured candidate in the last governorship election in the state, Professor Kolapo Olusola-Eleka.
The Supreme Court has fixed Friday, May 24, to deliver its judgement on the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and Olusola-Eleka, challenging Fayemi's victory.
Fayemi will take over the leadership of the NGF from Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state.
The Ekiti state governor was elected as chairman of NGF during a meeting of the forum in Abuja.
It was reported that Fayemi had been the favourite to pilot the affairs of the forum after the governors reportedly rejected Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state.
