- Inter Milan are plotting to offer Man Utd £30m plus Ivan Perisic for Romelu Lukaku this summer
- Perisic scored nine times in 43 appearances in all competitions for Inter in 2018-19 season
- Lukaku has struggled for game time since the closing stages of the 2018-19 campaign
Serie A campaigners Inter Milan are plotting a player plus cash massive deal for out-of-favour Man United forward Romelu Lukaku.
According to The Mirror citing Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan will include Croatia star Ivan Perisic in the bid, with Lukaku eager to seal the switch to Serie A after falling down the pecking order since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmation as manager.
Perisic, netted nine times in 43 matches in all competitions for Inter during the 2018-19 campaign, and played a huge role for Croatia during last year’s summer World Cup in Russia.
On the other hand, Lukaku has struggled for game time during the closing stages of the campaign, netting 15 times across all competitions - 12 goals adrift of his debut tally with United.
Additional report from Manchester Evening news hinted that incoming Inter manager Antonio Conte is behind Lukaku’s move to Italy after failing to sign him while at Chelsea two seasons ago.
Lukaku now has a new agent and is thrilled with Inter’s summer plans going forward.
Speaking moments after battling Chelsea to 1-1 draw with Chelsea last month Lukaku said: "I don’t know [if I am staying], I am not here to entertain rumours. I am still under contract."
And his agent Federico Pastorello added: "He sees a way to have a career playing in different countries because he would like to win some trophies and prove himself and say to his children: 'I won there and I won there and I won there' and 'I was a very good player in all the top championships'.
"So let's see. The future is really very open but, at the moment, we don’t discuss about that because really the season is in a big moment."
Meanwhile, any move for Lukaku would hand Everton financial reward, with the Toffees expected to pocket £5m if the Belgian quits United, or extends his current deal, before June 30 2022.
Lukaku left Goodison Park for £75m after netting 20 times in three consecutive seasons at the Merseyside.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Romelu Lukaku has emerged as a summer target for Inter Milan and Paris-Saint-Germain.
The future of the Belgian football star at Manchester United is currently uncertain at Old Trafford after the club failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.
French champions Paris-Saint-Germain and Inter Milan have now emerged to be the two clubs fighting for the signing of the 26-year-old striker.
