Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the head of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission (NDC), has denied saying that Egyptian and Ethiopian airlines run drug cartels in Nigeria.
Speaking on her Twitter page on Wednesday, May 22, the NDC boss said that she never made any such statement.
She said that the remark credited to her by an online media on Wednesday was only a figment of the reporter's imagination.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported that Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Friday, May 10, raised alarm over the emergence of a fake Twitter account created for the agency by fraudsters.
On her Twitter handle, Abike revealed that so far the fake account has not less than 32 followers, whom she advised to disregard the page. She expressed shock over how fast the fake account was created.
Legit.ng had gathered that the Nigerian Senate on Thursday, May 9, confirmed the appointment of Dabiri as the executive officer of NDC. The report of the committee on diaspora and non-governmental organisations was presented on the floor of the Senate by Senator Rose Oko.
