Refugee in USA graduates from Yale University, vows to fulfil dream of helping mom (photos)

A lady identified as Trinh Quyen on Twitter shared the inspiring story of how she attended a top American university despite being a refugee.

The beautiful Asian woman who came to USA at age three narrated how she determined to attend such an Ivy League school as Yale University just so her mom would suffer less and not live in poverty all her life.

She made this resolve at age six, and 15 years down the line, she fulfilled her dream by graduating from the top university with honours. In her post, Trinh shared photos of herself and her mom when she was three side by side with a picture from the convocation ceremony.

"I came to the U.S. as a refugee with my mom at 3. At 6, I decided I would graduate from an Ivy League university. I wanted my mom to suffer less, to live a life not in poverty. Fifteen years later, I did that. Today I graduated from Yale with departmental honors and Latin honors."
