The past few days on social media has been abuzz with the news of the arrest of Nigerian singer Naira Marley, and more recently, his remand in prison by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following a court order.
Fellow colleagues in the industry have used their respective social media platforms to wade into the plight of the hip-hop exact, with the likes of veteran singer Daddy Showkey, pleading with the crimes commission to temper justice with mercy and release Naira Marley.
Recall that veteran rapper Ruggedman man who was also in the news following his social media exchange with the arrested superstar on the issue of internet fraud , issued a statement in which he cleared the air on his involvement in the arrest of Naira Marley and categorically stated that he had nothing to do with it.
In a recent development, Teebillz, ex-husband of singer Tiwa Savage, recently took to his social media page with a post in which he subtly shaded Ruggedman.
Teebillz in his post started off by praying the good lord to keep watch over Naira Marley during the trying period he is currently experiencing.
He went on to express that it is inevitable for younger ones to make mistakes and as such, older folks should put them back on the right track instead of calling them out on social media to seek validation.
"May the grace of God be sufficient for the needs of this talented young man during his trials...... we all make mistakes and my personal take is that most of this young guys don’t know better and I feel it’s our obligation as the older ones to put them right instead of just calling them out on social media for unnecessary validation! Don't condone fraud or ignorance." He said.
