- Pep Guardiola Guardiola has shed more light about Man City's position in signing Griezmann
- The Frenchman recently revealed he will be leaving Atletico Madrid at the end of the season
- Barcelona have been tipped to finally sign the France international after their long chase
Pep Guardiola has insisted that Manchester City will not sign departing Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann in the summer.
The English champions have been linked with the Frenchman since the World Cup winner decided to quit the Wanda Metropolitano at the end of the season.
Barcelona have been dimmed clear favourites to sign the France international after failing to land him before last summer's summer World Cup in Russia.
But a reported £100m price tag have been placed on the 28-year-old with reports claiming that City are in line to snap up the gifted striker.
And Guardiola has come out to deny reports that the Citizens are looking to add the former Real Sociedad man to their squad ahead of next season's campaign.

He said that the current Premier League champions who could be banned from playing Champions League football next season due to financial irregularities, can not afford the French star.
"Don't worry guys, we are not going to buy Griezmann.
"We cannot afford it. The people at Barcelona don't need to worry. We are not interested," Guardiola said.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Atletico Madrid front-man, Antoine Griezmann, has confirmed he will leave the club at the end of this season.
In a video shared on the club's official Twitter account, Griezmann paid an emotional tribute to fans for their support through out his stay at the club.
