300-level medical student selling doughnuts to pay fees gets N450,000 from businessman (photos)

Reuben Mulenga, a medical doctor in training, has received financial support from a businessman after he was recently appraised as a rare example of a diligent and hard working student due to the resourceful way in which he meets his academic needs.

The Zambian medical student went viral after news of him selling doughnut in order to get the money he needs to pay his school fees was posted online by a Twitter user.

According to the report, Reuben wakes up every morning by 3:00am to make the pastry. Then, he hawks it early enough before embarking on his academic activities.

Despite the rigour of this, he has managed to keep his dream of being a medical doctor alive. In a series of reactions, many encouraged the young man and told him to keep chasing his dream.

A Zambian businessman decided to take his act of encouragement a notch higher by donating over N450,000 to Reuben. The sponsor in question is Mukhtar Deria, the CEO of Hibo group of companies.
