- Melaye said the revenge by masses would consume Nigerian leaders
- The lawmaker said he was afraid of the revenge of the poor
The senator representing Kogi West senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye, has predicted that perilous time is loading for Nigeria elite, including himself.
Legit.ng reports that Melaye said in a tweet on Friday, May 17, that he was afraid of the revenge of the poor, adding that what happened in Russia, Sudan and France, might soon take place in Nigeria.
The lawmaker further noted that the segregation in Nigeria where the rich are known to reside in some particular areas, put them in more danger.
He called on Nigerian leaders to beware of violent revolution from the poor masses.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that a prosecution witness on Friday, April 5, in a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Apo, Abuja, said Senator Melaye damaged two police patrol vans in an alleged attempt to escape from custody.
The testimony was given by ASP Dennis Agbi, who is a member of the IGP Special Tactical Squad, during a court hearing after a lawsuit filed against Melaye, who is facing trial on a six-count charge.
