Rob Green was handed a royal welcome by Chelsea squad members as he was getting set to make his debut appearance for the Stamford Bridge dwellers.
According to UK Sun report, the 39-year-old former England No1, was on the bench for Chelsea in their friendly against New England Revolution in Boston, but was called to duty in the closing moments.
However, as Green was getting set to join the action with two minute left on the clock, Chelsea players started poking in the shot-stopper.
Green joined Chelsea from Huddersfield last summer but has struggled to play for the first-team this campaign.
And Chelsea stars continued cheering him ironically cheer as he was handed instructions from the coaching staff before joining the fray.
The pair of David Luiz and Eden Hazard performed a mini Mexican wave as Green appeared ready for his debut.
Green has spent most time on the subs bench after being placed third-choice goalkeeper behind Kepa Arrizabalaga and Willy Caballero.
Interestingly, during his two-minute Green pent on the pitch, he had little to do as Chelsea were leading 3-0 and technically kept a clean sheet in his first and only game.
But it wasn't all fun and games for Chelsea during their trip to America after Ruben Loftus-Cheek suffered an injury that ruled him out of the Europa League final – and he could be out for six months after rupturing his Achilles.

Chelsea medics are expected to further assess the injury to know his expected date of return.
