Actor Okon blasts those trolling him for supporting Abuja policemen who molested call girls (videos)

Recently, Nollywood actor, Imeh Bishop, popularly known as Okon sparked an outrage when he posted a video supporting some Abuja policemen who molested the call girls they were supposed to arrest. After getting dissed by many Nigerians, Okon released another clip to defend himself. But even this follow-up video has stirred the anger of many like Toolz and Lala Akindoju.

In his follow-up video, the actor whose real name is Ime Bishop Umoh tried to clear up the air and explain what he meant in the first video. According to him, he was not justifying molestation in his initial statements.

Rather, he said he was trying to make the crime committed by the police officers more grave and heinous by pointing out the fact they did not just molest the ladies, but also stole from them.

Even more, Okon said that the truth about the ladies being call girls could not be totally overlooked. This, for him, was a major factor that should be considered when examining the case.

toolzo: "What kind of explanation is this?"

lalaakindoju: "Oga please don’t try and explain yourself out of this. Why didn’t you make a joke about their customers or the men who patronize them. But it’s always so easy to make jokes about the women. Also the fact that a person is a commercial s*x worker doesn’t mean they don’t have human rights!!! Only in Nigeria sha! Only in Nigeria!!!!"

eye_ren: "Truth be told ur joke was uncalled for. You played on the emotions of those young ladies in the name of joke and it was more painful than funny. Sometimes the best way to show support is to just keep quiet if you have no positive contribution."

mojireagbetunsin: "Stop saying rubbish and apologize. There is no shame is saying you’re wrong. It’s not a joke. This women are going through hell already. Women are not jokes. Please. Just take the whole thing down. Think of the women around you. Being a s*x worker doesn’t justify r**e and it’s not armed robbery or whatever you say. May God borrow you sense!"

bellaalubo: "When cognitive dissonance meets sexism & ignorance this is exactly what we get."
