Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard, is reportedly in line to replace Maurizio Sarri as manager at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard has had a successful debut in football management, and is on the verge of guiding Derby County to Premier League promotion.
Blues' chiefs are now said to regard the former England international as the perfect replacement for Sarri.
The current Chelsea boss is under immense pressure in the West London club despite earning them a Champions League qualification with a third-place finish in the league.
He has also steered the club to Europa League finals, and will battle Arsenal for a chance to lift the European title.
However, reports in the UK contend that it might still not be enough for Sarri to hold on to his job after falling out with club fans.
The UK Mirror, citing Sport Mediaset, now reported Lampard has been booked to replace Sarri in the summer.
The former Chelsea forward is the Stamford Bridge outfit's all-time top goal scorer with 211 goals in more than 600 appearances.
During his time at the club, he won three Premier League titles, Champions League and the Europa League.
