Popular Nigerian musician Seun Kuti, son of late music legend Fela-Kuti, has recently expressed his satisfaction in the latest move by the Ondo state government to delve into legally growing cannabis.
Recall that Legit.ng earlier gathered that the governor of the state Rotimi Akerodolu, was recently in Thailand in company of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mustapha Abdallah, to learn how to legally cultivate cannabis for medical purposes, in other to make revenue for the state.
Akeredolu in a post shared on social media noted that the state, which is known as the hot bed of its cultivation, will be shortchanging itself if it does not partake in the farming.
Reacting to the development, Seun Kuti shared a screenshot of the governor’s post on his Instagram page and expressed the possibility of relocating to the state.
He also added that it would be a good feeling to be able to enjoy a good joint while stepping down with the traditional pounded yam delicacy.
Kuti said: "Ehn Mr Excellency sir, if u want me to move to your state, just say so. This beating about the bush is unnecessary. Afrobeat is about to switch home base y’all. Just imagine one good joint for my back ache then better Ondo pounded yam to heal my stomach pain, nuff said"
