Following the recent release of sensational Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a veteran entertainer has now pleaded for the release of his colleague Naira Marley, who is still in detention.
Recall that Legit.ng earlier gathered a report in which it was confirmed that the two were arrested by the crimes commission following allegations bordering on advanced fee fraud.
It was also reported that one of the duo, Zlatan, eventually regained his freedom from the EFCC, but his friend Marley is still being held by the EFCC.
In a recent development, much loved musician Daddy Showkey has now reacted to the continued detention of Naira Marley and pleaded for his release.
Showkey shared a video on his Instagram page and said that he has been getting a lot of calls and messages from people to throw his support behind the singer, but he held back because Marley had been rude to his elders in the industry.
He, however, noted that the Am I A Yahoo Boy crooner is just a young man who has made his mistakes and should be pardoned for it.

Sharing the video, he said: "Temper justice with mercy. This is just a young man growing up.lets not use his mistakes to spoil his career we all went through so many things growing up....we can use him as a spoke man to young people against crime @officialefcc may be he will learn with this"

Still on the entertainer’s arrest, Legit.ng reported that veteran rapper, Ruggedman, released a statement in which he cleared the air on his involvement in the arrest of Naira Marley.
He stated that even if he publicly expressed satisfaction at the development, he completely had nothing to do with it.
