Jose Mourinho says he admires the work of Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino

Jose Mourinho has spoken on the managerial career of Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the 2018/19 Champions League final between his side and Liverpool.

Mourinho and Pochettino were rivals in the Premier League before the Portuguese was dismissed at Manchester United in December 2018.

Defeats against Tottenham and Liverpool masterminded Jose Mourinho's exit at Manchester United with his last game coming against Jurgen Klopp's side.

In an interview with L’Equipe, Jose Mourinho was asked by the French Newspaper to speak on the Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

''They have the team, they have the players, the structures, and they are good coaches,''.

Another question was also put forward to the ex Chelsea coach with: "Mauricio Pochettino wins without recruiting.''

And Mourinho said: “He won what, what trophy? I admire the work of Mauricio and Jürgen, both deserve to achieve something great, and there is nothing greater than holding the Champions League, but one of them will lose,''.

Earlier, had reported how Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino admitted that he could leave the Premier League club if they miraculously win the Champions League title this season.

The 47-year-old Argentine football boss made this stunning statement ahead of his side's Champions League semifinal return leg against Dutch side Ajax.
