In the early hours of Friday, May 10, Nigerian rappers, Naira Marley and Zlatan Ibile, were arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Legit.ng had reported that they were arrested for allegations bordering on advance fee fraud and internet related cases.

The arrest had raised mixed reactions among Nigerians, with some against the arrest while others supported it due to Naira Marley's constant public support for internet fraudsters.

Legit.ng has gathered that rapper Zlatan has now been released from EFCC custody. The rapper who was arrested alongside Naira Marley finally got his freedom, leaving behind his fellow rapper in custody.

It was gathered that others, who were also arrested for allegations bordering on advance fee fraud and internet related cases, were except for Naira Marley.

Zlatan was allegedly released with the help of lawyer hired by popular singer, Davido.

In celebration of his release, Nigerians, including Davido, took to social media congratulate the rapper.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that the rapper's girlfriend identified as, Seyi Awonuga, shared a video of herself begging the commission to release her boyfriend.

The lady had asked the commission to free her boyfriend for her sake.
