Lady cries out as online thieves withdraw N287k from her 87-year-old father's bank account

A Nigerian woman recently cried out to members of the online community as she shared the heartbreaking news of how online thieves stole from her 87-year-old father.

The woman, identified as Sola Salako Ajulo, shared her old man’s experience with internet fraudsters on the popular micro blogging platform, Twitter.

She said the thieves withdrew the sum of N287k from her father’s bank account and left him with just a thousand naira.

Ajulo while praying that the incident does not lead to the death of her father, expressed that he has been in shock since he received the news.

"My 87-year-old father just got hit by online fraud on his Union Bank Account. All his savings of N287,000 was withdrawn; only N1,000 was left in the account. He is in shock. I pray it doesn’t kill him." she said.

In other tweets shared on her page, she disclosed that the bank management has commenced investigation into the issue and hope to get to the end of it.

She also expressed appreciation to everyone that reached out to her family and gave the assurances that her father is in a much better condition.
