How Edo DPO stole N650k - Comrade pens down letter to IGP

EDO DPO STEALS N650,000
It is instructive to commend the acting inspector general of police Muhammed Abubakar Adamu for his concerted efforts to re-position the force for effective and efficient service delivery.
We particularly congratulate you for being instrumental to the passage of Police Trust Fund Bill by the Nigeria Senate.
We urge the Mr. President to speedily give assent to the bill so as to be able to adequately reform the Nigeria police force.
We equally seized this opportunity to salute the courage of our able Commissioner of Police, Edo state command Mr. Danmallam Abubakar for doing a great job.
We are constrained to report the conduct of immediate past DPO of Ugbekun Division, Upper Sakponba, Benin City, Edo state.
Mr. Pykison T. Yunana to the IGP. It is a known fact that Upper Sakponba in Benin City is a criminal hot spot in Edo state.
Recently, Edo state governor Mr Obaseki launched operation wabaghisiga to fight crime and criminality in Edo tate and he as well admonished the local government chairmen to partner with security agents in order to flush out criminal elements in the state.
Pursuant to the directive of Mr. Governor, the Chairman Ikpoba-Okha, local government, Edo State Mr. Eric Osayande Phd. made provision for six hundred and fifty thousand (N650,000.00) each for Ologbo Division, New Etete Division and Ugbekun Division for turn-around maintenance of their operational vehicles for optimal performance.
In no distant time, Ologbo and New Etete took delivery of their refurbished vehicles and since then people of their areas have been sleeping with their two eyes closed.

The chairman in his wisdom contracted the refurbishment of Ugbekun vehicle to one Mr. Jelili who is a renowned auto mechanic with the local government.
To the consternation of every sane person, Mr. Pyikison the then DPO Ugbekun Division collected the sum of N650,000.00 from Mr Jelili without the knowledge of anybody. The information broke out when Mr Jelili could not deliver at stipulated time.
When asked why he released the money giving to him by local government to the DPO his response was that he couldn’t have done otherwise when DPO invited him with threat to produce the money.
OUR PRAYER: Giving the above narrative, it is obvious that Mr Pyikison is grossly deficient in good conduct and character to be a member of this noble career-police. We call on the IGP to discreetly investigate this matter with a view to bring Mr. Pyikison to book.
The like of Mr. Pyikison shouldn’t be in Nigeria police force because his action has contributed to insecurity in Upper Sakponba in no small measure.
This action of his has also put encumbrances on the crime fighting capacity of the division which often force the division to hire vehicles for police operations.
It was reliably gathered that Mr. Pyikison is habitual criminal who was actively involved in oil bunkering while he was in Delta state command otherwise how could he afford Range Rover and other exotic vehicles in his possession.

Likewise, he was petitioned by the local government chairman and all the counselors when he was a DPO Iruha division which led to his removal.
While anticipating your swift response accepts our high esteem and assurances on every security related matters in Edo state please.
