Okorocha vows not to leave APC for Oshiomhole

- Governor Rochas Okorocha said he has taken enough insult from the national chairman of the APC, Oshiomhole

- Okorocha said nobody should be used as an instrument to fight anybody because of some political reasons

- The governor, however, disclosed that he is going nowhere for Oshiomhole

Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, disclosed that he will not leave the All Progressives Congress for the party's national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Okorocha in an interview with The Nation also claimed that Oshiomhole once sent his DSS personnel to push him out of his office.

He said: "We will chat as usual. What will I do to him? The last time I saw Oshiomhole was when I went to Oshiomhole’s office and he sent his State Security Service man to insult me in his office, before the governorship candidate of Akwa Ibom, the NDDC guy who also reacted against the gentleman.

"An SSS was pushing me out as a governor from his office. So, I’ve taken enough of insults from Oshiomhole and all those that are planning this evil."

Asked about report that the anti-graft agencies are on the trail of many people in his government. over allegations that he was taking money from government coffers to buy votes, Okorocha said people should apply some reasonability in what they do.

He said: "First and foremost, if you think right and people reason well, if you want to withdraw N17 billion in this country now, it will take you two years to get N17 billion from all the banks in Nigeria. So, these are frivolities.

"But anybody can say anything against you just to find a way to attack you and I’m saying that they should apply some reasonability in what they do. Nobody should be used as an instrument to fight anybody because of some political reasons. If not, such institutions also will lose their credibility."

Recall that Legit.ng reported that Okorocha accused Oshiomhole of witch-hunting him after he ensured his emergence as national chairman of the ruling APC.

Okorocha who is at logger heads with the national leadership of the APC, accused Oshiomhole of plotting to bring him down. His grievance with the leadership of the APC started in the build-up to the last general election when his anointed candidate Uche Nwosu lost the Imo state governorship candidate ticket to Senator Hope Uzodinma.
