Manchester City have been crowned champions of the 2018/19 Premier League season after beating Brighton 4-1 in their last game on Sunday, May 12.

Pep Guardiola's men had to come back from a goal down to score four goals against their opponents thanks to fantastic display by David Silva who gave superb assists.

Brighton scored the first goal in this encounter in the 27th minute through a powerful header by Glenn Murray who was assisted by Pascal Gross.

But the visitors restored parity almost immediately through Sergio Aguero who was superbly set up by David Silva in the 28th minute.

Defender Aymeric Laporte netted the second goal for Manchester City in the 38th minute after receiving a glorious pass from Riyad Mahrez.

Riyad Mahrez himself scored the third goal for Manchester City in the 63rd minute benefiting from an assist by David Silva.

Brighton were looking for a goal after conceding three in front of their fans, but a brilliant free-kick from Ilkay Gundogan gave Manchester City's fourth goal in the 72nd minute.

Manchester City eventually won the match 4-1 and they are now the champions for the 2018/19 Premier League season.

Earlier, had reported how Manchester City and Liverpool are keeping close tabs on £54m-rated Super Eagles and Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.
