The head of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission (NDC), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Friday, May 10, raised alarm over the emergence of a fake Twitter account created for the agency by fraudsters.
On her Twitter handle, Abike revealed that so far the fake account has not less than 32 followers, whom she advised to disregard the page. She expressed shock over how fast the fake account was created.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the Nigerian Senate on Thursday, May 9, confirmed the appointment of Dabiri as the executive officer of NDC.
The report of the committee on diaspora and non-governmental organisations was presented on the floor of the Senate by Senator Rose Oko.
The report read: "Confirmation of the nomination of Honourable @abikedabiri-Erewa for appointment as executive officer of Nigerian Diaspora Commission."
