- Lionel Messi has been said to be getting too much credit for wins at Barcelona
- This is according to the club's legend Ronaldo De Lima who wants blame to be shared equally when the team loses
- Ronaldo says Messi would never be blamed anytime Barcelona lose a match
Brazilian football legend Ronaldo De Lima has stated clearly that Lionel Messi gets too much credit for Barcelona's victories and receives no blame for defeats.
This comes after Barcelona's Champions League exit against Premier League giants Liverpool in which the club's manager Ernesto Valverde and Philippe Coutinho were blamed.
The 42-year-old who played for Barcelona has now called for equitable sharing of blame whenever the Catalan giants lose an important fixture.
Lionel Messi has been incredible this season for Barcelona scoring 48 goals across all competitions and has been tipped to win the Ballon d'Or.
"Barcelona have a great team, and they have the best player in the world in Messi, but the other day I heard that when they lose, it's because of Valverde, Coutinho and not Messi
''And when they win, Barcelona win because of Messi. It's a tremendous lack of respect to all the players and the coaching staff,'' Ronaldo said at an event for Santander Bank: (Via Marca).
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Brazilian football legend Ronaldo de Lima jokingly claimed that he may have to come out of retirement to help his Spanish La Liga club Real Valladolid.
This comes after the ex Real Madrid and Barcelona star explained that he is tired of watching his team miss several penalties this season.
Ronaldo is said to be the majority owner of Valladolid, and he made his intention known while speaking with countryman Neymar in an interview with Otro App.
