AirHelp, an organization that specializes in air traveler rights and seeks compensation in cases of delays or cancellations, provides annual ranking of the best and worst airports and airlines across the world.

For the 2019 ranking, AirHelp rated 72 airlines for which it has statistically significant data, ranking them by on-time performance, service quality, and claim processing, with each category weighed equally.

For the second year in a row, Qatar Airways ranked as the top airline, followed by American Airlines, Aeromexico, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, and Qantas in the top five.

Occupying the bottom of the list are Ryanair, Korean Air, Kuwait Airways, and the UK’s EasyJet and Thomas Cook Airlines.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that some countries and airlines grounded Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft following the deadly crash in Ethiopia on Sunday, March 10 which left all the passengers and the crew, 157 of them, dead.

The aircraft model has crashed twice in less than six months. In October 2018, a new Lion Air Boeing 737 MAX 8 flight went down over the Java Sea, killing 189 people.
