- Marcos Llorente of Real Madrid has emerged as target for Arsenal and Manchester United
- These two Premier League sides are said to have held talks with Real Madrid over a move
- Llorente has been struggling this season at Real Madrid even before the return of Zidane
Premier League duo of Manchester United and Arsenal have reportedly held talks over the possible summer signing of Real Madrid star Marcos Llorente.
Manchester United and Arsenal are looking to strengthen their squads ahead of next season after failing to make the top four this term in the Premier League with one game to go.
But Arsenal have the chance to play in the Champions League next season only if they beat rivals Chelsea in the Europa League final.
And 24-year-old Spain professional footballer Marcos Llorente is now their target even though he is currently struggling at Real Madrid.
According to the report by AS, the Gunners have made approaches over Llorente, but the Spanish publication also says Real Madrid are only likely to sell if the deal includes a buy-back option.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the other hand is also planning to add more legs to his squad next season so as to fight for titles.
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Manchester United must know that they will face competition from the likes of Atlético Madrid, Roma and Sevilla for the signing of Marcos Llorente.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly at loggerhead with Ed Woodward over the future of want away star Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer - with Real Madrid as the potential destination for the midfielder.
Pogba wants to play Champions League football next campaign, and since the Red Devils failed to nick a top four spot, the player would consider a move away from the club.
