The Nigerian entertainment industry is one that is gradually getting international recognition as music from top singers in the country is now being enjoyed in many parts of the world.
The industry is a very competitive one and musicians often try to gain prominence over the other by topping their achievements.
Two of Nigerians top singers, Davido and Wizkid, have no doubt achieved international feats and Barbadian singer, Rihanna, was recently spotted listening to Wizkid’s Ojuelegba on Instagram.
Many Nigerians were impressed by this, seeing it as another proof that our local songs are being appreciated everywhere, but reality star, Tobi Bakre, seems to think differently.
In a message posted on the BBNaija star’s Twitter page, he wondered why a foreign artiste listening to Nigerian songs is seen as an achievement. According to him, it is not a big deal.

Tobi's tweets raised several reactions on Twitter with some people saying he is guilty of 'famzing' Nigerian celebrities talk less of foreign ones. However, others agreed with him. See some comments below:
Meanwhile, shortly after the video of Rihanna listening to Wizkid's Ojuelegba, Nigerian entertainer Tunde Ednut, vowed to urge her to listen to more of Davido's songs.
Ednut shared the video on his Instagram page and vowed to make Rihanna pay more attention to Davido by sending her messages of how the singer is the king of new school music in Africa.
