- Ernesto Valverde could be shown the exit door by Barcelona after Champions League ouster at Anfield
- The Catalans have shortlisted Ajax boss Eric ten Hag and two others as replacement for their top job
- They lost 4-3 on aggregate to Liverpool despite winning the first leg at Camp Nou last week
Barcelona have reportedly started shopping for a new manager to replace Ernesto Valverde following his side's disappointing ouster from the Champions League two days back.
The Catalans were favourites to reach the final after taking a three goal lead from the first half at the Camp Nou last week.
But the La LIga giants were unable to replicate the same performance at Anfield as two goals each from Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum helped the Reds stage a comeback and progress 3-3 on aggregate.
Having being bundled out in a similar situation last season, when Barca led Roma 4-1 at home but conceded three unreplied goal at the Stadio Olimpico in the concluding fixture.
Though, they have won the La Liga title, they could win their second title this campaign when they battle Valencia in the Copa Del Rey final later this month.
The Mirror however reports that Valverde's future at the club is under heavy doubt despite recently extending his stay at the Spanish League side.
During his post match conference after the defeat at Anfield, the underfire manager admitted that he could be asked to use the exit door at the end of this season.
Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu has however drawn up a three-man shortlist as replacement for the manager.
