Son Heung-min made a return to Tottenham starting XI after missing the first-leg defeat through suspension, with Kasper Dolberg replacing David Neres in Ajax XI after suffering a knock during warm up for the match.

Ajax netted the opening goal after captain Matthijs de Ligt got above Dele Alli nod home from a corner-kick after just four minutes.

And in the 35th minute Ajax netted their second goal through Hakim Ziyech to go 2-0 at the end of the first half.

After 55 minutes of action Tottenham pulled one goal back through Lucas Moura – the Brazilian picked up a pass from Alli before finishing off.

In the 50th minute, Moura netted Spurs second from a goalmouth scramble, to see the scores now 2-2 on the night.

With 12 minutes left on the clock, Ziyech released a strike from the edge of the box, but his effort could only hit the upright.

In the 87th minute, the crossbar came to Ajax rescue from Vertonghen’s nodded effort, with scores still at 2-2.

Tottenham players then went in search of the winner in their numbers, and in the last minute of the added-time, Moura, fired home the winning goal to complete his hat-trick to seal the UCL final ticket.
