Man in trouble for writing false story against House of Reps member-elect

- Specifically, he was said to have alleged that Godday forged his University of Abuja degree certificate

Hon Samuel Godday, the House of Representatives member-elect who will be representing Apa/Agatu federal constituency on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), has sued Morgan Adikwu.

The lawmaker-elect slammed a 500 million naira libel suit over defamation of character by the social media influencer.

The suit which was filed at the high court of justice Makurdi, Benue state is in response to a publication on Facebook by Morgan Adikwu, Leadership reports.

Adikwu was said to have alleged that Godday forged his University of Abuja degree certificate and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exclusion certificate he presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The social media influencer was also alleged to have forged disclaimers from the University of Abuja and the NYSC respectively stating that they did not issue the certificates to Hon. Godday Samuel.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that an Ikeja high court on Thursday, April 18, rendered a copy of the Department of State Security (DSS) report to the Nigerian Senate on Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) inadmissible.
