Super Eagles defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi tops the race to be named the best tackler in the Premier League for the second time in a row.

The Nigeria international has been impressive for his EPL side Leicester City this campaign scoring twice in 37 league appearances.

Though, the Foxes suffered a slim defeat to Manchester City in their Monday night clash at the King Power Stadium, Ndidi was however superb for the side - winning all 13 duels in the match.

He however took his tally of tackles to 136 despite losing the battle owing to Vincent Kompany's thunderous strike towards the end of the encounter.

Meanwhile, Everton star, Idrissa Gueye, closely trails the 22-year-old him with 135 tackles after 37 rounds of matches.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Crystal Palace is third on the list with 124 tackles with just one game to wrap the season up this weekend.

While Ricardo Pereira (Leicester) and Wolverhampton Wanderers player João Moutinho complete the top five best tacklers in the Premier League this season.

It will be recalled that the Super Eagles star won the award for the best tackler at the end of the 2017-18 season.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Wilfred Ndidi, Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, currently ranks no 1 in the list of English Premier League tacklers so far.

According to a report on EPL’s official Twitter handle and website on Friday, March 29, revealed that that the Nigerian international successfully executed 109 tackles for Leicester City in the current campaign.

But the defensive midfielder presently share the top spot with Crystal Palace defence ace Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
