Real Madrid have reportedly concluded plans to offer Real Madrid world record fee of £240 million to sign Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe this summer.

The 20-year-old striker is currently contracted to the French League champions until the summer of 2022, having joined them from Monaco in 2017.

He has scored 36 goals and seven assists in 39 matches in all competitions this campaign, and has emerged as priority signing for Zinedine Zidane since his arrival earlier this year.

It was reported that Los Blancos tried signing the France international - the same season he joined the Parisians on loan from AS Monaco.

Mbappe, according to SunSport is one of the three key players Zidane is planning to land at end of the season.

PSG signed Mbappe for a fee around £156 million but the France international could be moving to Spain for a record fee at the end of the season despite having three more years in his deal.

The 20-year-old has scored 94 times for PSG and France in his fledgeling career - more than both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi at the same age.

He has also equalled Thierry Henry's Ligue 1 record with 30 goals -most goals scored by a French player in a single season.

According to French media outlet France Football, Zinedine Zidane has singled out the 20-year-old forward as the player to reinforce his squad for next season.

France Football added that negotiations are expected to commence next week with the move expected to make headlines in the next few months.
