Man shares list of graduation requirements expected from apprentice by a tailor

A social media user has called the attention of an online community to an outrageous list of items requested from an apprentice on the occasion of his freedom ceremony.

It is common practice in this part of the world for apprentices who have completed months or years of training of a particular handwork from their bosses/masters, to mark an official end of their training with a graduation ceremony, popularly tagged as ‘freedom’.

Although it is expected that such apprentices are expected to come forward with some items that have been requested by the boss, a Nigerian man has now expressed his reservation for an outrageous list of items requested from an apprentice in the Badagry area of Lagos.

Sharing a photo of the list on micro blogging platform Twitter, the man noted that the items were requested by a tailor who was about to perform the traditional send forth ceremony for one of his apprentices.

The list features 24 items that must all be provided a week before the date scheduled for the event, with a warning to pay a fine of N2000, should the date be exceeded.
