I give up on democracy - Davido says after arrest of his uncle Ademola Adeleke

Following the arrest of his uncle Senator Ademola Adeleke, Nigerian superstar Davido took to social media to say that he has lost all hope in democracy.

Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that the senator representing Osun West district, was arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on Monday, May 6.

Adeleke was said to have honoured an invitation at the force headquarters in Abuja, but was detained after he was informed of fresh charges of testimonial forgery.

Reacting to the development, Davido, who is well known to be very vocal when it comes to supporting his uncle’s political ambition, expressed on social media that he has given up on the country’s democracy.

Sharing a photo post of his uncle, he said: "I give up on democracy."

In a different post shared on his page, the star singer called on his uncle to remain strong as the almighty is the only one who has a final say.

"Stay strong Uncle D ! God is great and he is the only one that has a say." he said.
