Suspect begs EFCC not to tell his children he is a Yahoo boy

- An internet fraudster has revealed that he does not want his kids to know what he does for a living

- The Yahoo boy was recently arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission

- ZDX Acura car, E 300 Mercedes Benz and more were recovered after the Yahoo kingpin was arrested in Calaabar

A 29-year-old internet fraudster and a father of two children who was recently arrested has revealed that he would like that his children do not know what he does for a living.

Legit.ng had earlier reported that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arrested the Yahoo kingpin in Calabar. The kingpin identified as Akpojivi Joel Onoriode was arrested alongside three other suspected fraudsters.

It was gathered that many of his properties were confiscated after he was arrested. His magnificent duplex, a ZDX Acura car, E 300 Mercedes Benz and more were recovered by the commission.

During interrogation, the Yahoo kingpin had told the EFCC operatives that he does not want his children to be told that he is a Yahoo boy.

The Delta State University graduate noted that he was known in his school as a Yahoo boy, and he had relocated to Calabar to hide the truth from his children. He said he did not want people to tell them that their father is a Yahoo boy.

He said: "I was really known in my school then as a yahoo boy. I have two kids. I didn't want to bring them up where people will say, ah! your father is a yahoo boy. That was why I relocated my family from Asaba to Calabar. When I came out now and saw you people and the bus outside, my mind just told me there was a problem."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that a Yahoo boy had allegedly contacted singer Davido for a job. The singer had exposed the Yahoo boy on social media and shared a screenshot of his reaction on Instagram.
