- Liverpool vs Barcelona's Champions League semifinal second leg tie will hold on Tuesday night, May 7
- Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi scored in the first leg as Barcelona won 3-0 in front of their faithfuls
- Liverpool will be missing the services of Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah in this encounter
Premier League giants Liverpool will on Tuesday night, May 7, face Spanish champions Barcelona in the second leg of their 2018/19 Champions League semifinal at Anfield stadium.
Barcelona are now the favorites to reach the final of the Champions League considering their superb 3-0 win over Liverpool in the first leg in Spain.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is currently troubled as it has been confirmed that Egypt international Mohamed Salah will not play against Barcelona.
Mohamed Salah sustained an injury in his side's Premier League win over Newcastle United and he could also miss the Reds' remaining game this season.
And ahead of the tough Champions League encounter, here we bring you three key battles that could decide the match at Anfield.
1. Virgil van Dijk vs Luis Suarez
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk will have to be wary of Suarez’s pressing when making his trademark runs out with the ball to get Liverpool on the front foot against Barcelona.
Luis Suarez will be making a return to the Anfield stadium against his former club, and he will be boosted after scoring in the first leg.

Van Dijk who is the 2018/19 PFA Player of the Year will have to be at his best so as to keep Suarez and even Messi from scoring at Anfield.
2. Fabinho vs Ivan Rakitic
Brazilian and Liverpool defensive midfielder Fabinho was penalized for a foul after a collision with Messi and the Argentinian promptly slammed the free-kick into Alisson Becker’s top corner from 30 yards.
And at Anfield on Tuesday night, the fight in the midfield will once again be between Fabinho and Ivan Rakitic considering their performance in the last tie.
Rakitic has started all 11 Champions League fixtures this season for Barcelona spending 941 minutes on the pitch.
3. Sadio Mane v Gerard Pique
With Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah ruled out of the Champions League tie against Barcelona at Anfield, the major striking is now on Senegal international Sadio Mane.
He was caged by Gerard Pique in the first leg who prevented the Liverpool star from scoring at the Nou Camp.
Pique has established himself as one of Europe’s most accomplished center-halves since leaving Manchester United back in 2008 when he was 21.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will miss his side's Champions League clash against Barcelona following the injury he suffered during his side's 3-2 win over Newcastle United last weekend.
The Egyptian goal king, who currently tops the Premier League goals scorer chart with 22 goals, was substituted after colliding with Martin Dubravka in the 73rd minute of the encounter.
