Departing Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, could not keep his emotions in check as he bid fans goodbye during their final home match against Brighton on Sunday, May 5.

Ramsey is set to join Serie A Champions, Juventus in the summer, thereby ending his 11-year stay with the Gunners.

The 28-year-old was presented to fans moments after their disappointing 1-1 draw against Brighton.

Ramsey, however, played no part in the match after sustaining a season-ending hamstring injury against Napoli in the Europa League.

The ex-Cardiff star broke down in tears as he applauded the home supporters, and Petr Cech had to console him.

"It’s very emotional. it’s been a hell of a journey. Eleven years of my life. So many things happened. it’s tough, it’s in my voice. I’m grateful for the opportunity here," he was quoted saying after the game.

Cech and Danny Welbeck are the other players who are set to leave the club at the end of the season, with the goalkeeper retiring from football.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's frustrating result against the Seagulls shattered their hopes of finishing in the top four.

They however stand an outside chance of qualifying for the Champions League should they win the Europa League.
