- Eden Hazard wants Chelsea board to honour their ‘promise’ over Real Madrid transfer
- The 27-year-old Hazard is keen on joining Real Madrid this summer
- Hazard is entering the last leg of his current deal at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has urged club chiefs to respect their earlier agreement and allow him complete a switch to Real Madrid this summer.
According to Metro citing UK Sun, Hazard was eager to seal a move to the Los Blancos after last year’s summer World Cup in Russia, but club boss Maurizio Sarri talked him into accepting one more season at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian was keen on leaving the club after the World Cup in 2018 and admitted earlier this season that he had told the Blues of his desire to leave.
And with French manager Zinedine Zidane back in the saddle at Santiago Bernabeu, Hazard is now keen on making the move to the Spanish capital this summer but Chelsea are demanding about £100m transfer fee.
The Sun report further claim that The Blues have rejected an opening bid of around £68m and this has left Hazard’s representatives furious.
Hazard has reportedly reminded Chelsea’s board that they had an agreement in place and remains upbeat Chelsea chiefs will agree a reduced fee.
The Belgium international is in the final leg of his deal at Chelsea and will not pen an extension if they want to keep him against his wishes.
Real Madrid are confident of reaching a deal in the coming month as Chelsea chiefs are also eager to sort the impasse surrounding Hazard as soon as possible.
Zidane is expecting a huge transfer crest to get Real Madrid back to winning ways this summer ahead of the new season.

The Frenchman is a big fan of Hazard and has not hidden his desire to make Hazard alone of his marquee signing this summer.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Chelsea are et to lose their star man Eden Hazard to Real Madrid as the west London club will reportedly demand £100m from the Spanish giants.
The 27-year-old was linked to a move to the Bernabeu last season after Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus. But the move never materialized.
It is understood that Real are expected to splash the cash in the summer following the arrival of Zidane.
