Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement to sign £51m-rated wonder-kid Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer.

According to UK Sun citing Spanish newspaper AS, the move is a major blow to Chelsea, who were believed to be targeting a move for the Bundesliga youngster.

A further breakdown of the deal revealed that Jovic’s former employers, Benfica will pocket £10m which is the 20 per cent sell-on clause in his contract, with Eintracht Frankfurt keeping £41m.

Interestingly, the 21-year-old, who is expected to pen a six-year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu only joined the German club in April for £5m, after Eintracht Frankfurt eggheads opted to make his loan move permanent.

Additional reports suggest the Serbian was on transfer target for Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri this summer despite the prospects of a possible transfer ban.

And after impressing against Chelsea during their Europa League semi-final first leg clash will keep the Italian tactician regretting his miss.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Sarri, who is a huge fan of the Serbian believes the youngster is one of the best strikers in Europe.

Sarri, reports claim was ready to splash out £51m to sign Jovic, who has netted 26 times across all competitions this campaign.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Chelsea have been hit with a severe blow following the injury of defender Antonio Rudiger who has been ruled out of the season with two games left this season.

Rudiger had missed two weeks with a knee problem, but was hurried back to face Manchester United in a key Premier League game on Sunday, April 28.
