Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, will waste no time in sealing deals for Portuguese duo of Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes.

According to a report by Evening Standard, United have stepped up their pursuit for the two youngsters and Solskjaer is making plans to make a flying start to his summer overhaul.

Both Felix and Fernandes have been impressive for Benfica and Sporting Lisbon respectively, attracting interests from top European clubs.

It is however United who have intensified their interest in the two as Solskjaer is scheduled to revamp his squad at the end of the season.

The overhaul will see United bring in new recruits, with the club also set to part ways with some of the big names.

Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away in recent weeks, just as Belgium international Romelu Lukaku who has not hid his desire to play in the Serie A.

As such, Solskjaer views Felix and Fernandes as potential replacements with the Red Devils said to have been tracking the former's development at Benfica.

The 19-year-old has been touted as a top prospect in football, and has been dubbed the ‘new Cristiano Ronaldo’ after bursting onto the scene this season.

However, despite United leading the chase for the wonder-kids, the UK Mirror reports the club's possible failure to qualify for Champions League could be a hindrance to landing the pair's signatures.

The Old Trafford dwellers currently sit sixth on the log and will be hoping Arsenal.and Chelsea slip up to stand a realistic chance of sealing a top four finish.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Manchester United were privately ready to sell Paul Pogba this summer.

Pogba was said to be ready to end his stay at Old Trafford in the summer with Real Madrid tipped as his favourite destination.
