- Juan Mata of Manchester United has been linked with a move to Barcelona
- His current contract with the Old Trafford landlords will expire this summer
- Manchester United are currently fighting to finish among the top four this season
Juan Mata of Manchester United has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Spanish champions Barcelona.
But the 31-year-old Spanish football star would have to accept a pay cut for him to join Barcelona when he leaves Manchester United.
Juan Mata's current contract at Manchester United will expire at the end of the ongoing season, and he is expected to leave Old Trafford.
And according to the report by UK Sun, Juan Mata will have to play for less than the £170,000-a-week he earns at Manchester United to make the dream move happen.
Mata feels he has two more seasons for him to play active football despite not having regular playing time at Manchester United.
This season in the Premier League, he has managed to play 26 games scoring three goals for Manchester United.
Manchester United are currently occupying sixth position on the Premier League standings with 65 points after 36 games played this term.
