Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United have been put on red alert after Paris Saint-Germain striker, Edinson Cavani, reportedly insisting on a move to England in the summer.
Cavani is said to be keen to end his six-year stay at Parc des Princes after winning an incredible 17 trophies during his time at the club.
The 32-year old still has a year left on his current deal with the French giants, but both Chelsea and United remain confident of landing his services.
Chelsea have since made contact with Cavani's representatives about a potential move, despite failing to sign the Uruguayan a little over a year ago.
The Blues currently have a two-window transfer ban, but have since appealed the decision by FIFA with the hope of having it rescinded.
United, on the hand are understood to be plotting a massive squad overhaul in the summer after a disappointing campaign this season.
Club boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has previously indicated his desire to have new legs, with the attackline one of the departments that need strengthening.
According to a Mail Online report citing Calciomercato, Cavani is insistent on a move to the Premier League, having already plied his trade in France, Italy and Uruguay.
He submitted: ''My future? I have a contract here. One more year. What do you want? I'm good, serene, happy with the life and the supporters," he was recently quoted saying during an interview.
"But in football, you never know."
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how title-chasing Manchester City and Liverpool were keeping close tabs on £54m-rated Super Eagles and Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.
According to the report, the Premier League pair are set to battle for the 19-year-old who they have identified as a possible signing this summer after following his progress over the past 12 months.
