Champions League fixtures for this week will see Tottenham Hotspur welcome Ajax to the new White Hart Lane while Barcelona host Liverpool at the Camp Nou.
The competition has entered its semi final stage as four teams are currently battling for a spot in the finals.
Barcelona, Liverpool, Tottenham and Ajax are the teams looking to make it through to the finals at the Wanda Metropolitano.
But many have tipped a Barcelona/Ajax final leaving the two remaining Premier League clubs out and no chance for an all English finals.
Here are reasons Barcelona and Ajax will headline this season's Champions League final
1. Barcelona motivated by the dreams of a treble
Barcelona are chasing a treble this season after emerging champions of Spain again for the 26th time in the club's history, so the motivation will swing more in their favour.
Liverpool are also aiming for two titles and seem pressured in closing the gap with leaders Manchester City, as well as making it past the tournament favourites to a second final in two years.
2. Ajax labelled giants killers after victory against Real Madrid and Juventus
Ajax on the other hand, will be coming on a back drop of victories over European heavyweights, Real Madrid and Juventus.

Playing a team like Spurs would give bring another perspective into their semi final contest.
3. Lionel Messi factor
Barcelona's unbelievable form this season has been largely attributed to the magic of in-form Lionel Messi. Messi was instrumental in Barca's round of 16 and last eight victories over Lyon and Man United.
He is almost unstoppable going by his form this season, having scored 46 goals in all competitions and ten of them have come in the Champions League.
4. Ajax know they are closer to a UCL trophy after 24 years wait
The last time Ajax won the Champions League was in the 1994-95 season and the hunger to get another trophy will be a motivating factor to the youth side.
Though Spurs are no easy push overs for the Amsterdam giants but grinding results against Real and Juve in the round of 16 and quarter finals, will hand them a major boost.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Barcelona will welcome Liverpool to the Camp Nou in an anticipated semi final clash as Tottenham will slug it out with Ajax at the new White Hart lane.
Many questions are being asked on who will emerge champions in the 2018-19 season as the elite competition look to produce a new winner after Real Madrid dominated in the last three seasons.
