- Denis Suarez has revealed his season is over with Arsenal
- The Spaniard made the revelation in an emotional Twitter post
- He joined the Gunners in a season-long loan deal from Barcelona in January
Denis Suarez has confirmed he will not be able to feature for Arsenal for the rest of the season due to a recurring groin injury.
Suarez has failed to nail a starting role at the Emirates since completing his season-long loan move from Barcelona in January.
His last appearance for the Gunners was during Arsenal's 2-0 win over Manchester United in March, with the midfielder coming off the bench at the time.
In a statement shared on his official Twitter account on Monday, April 29, Suarez apologised to Arsenal fans for a disappointing spell, having failed to live up to his billing.
He said: "I want you all to know that I will not be able to play again this season," he said on Twitter.
"Some issues with my groin have made things tough since the game against BATE Boris [sic] in the Europa League in February and now they have forced me to stop training altogether.''
He further went on to thank the club for affording him the opportunity to don the Arsenal shirt during his time at the Emirates.
He added: "I want to give my thanks again to such a big club for trusting in me although things haven’t gone as we pictured they would.''
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Paul Pogba had responded to Roy Keane and Graeme Souness over their criticisms of his performances, stating that "they are paid to say things."
The Manchester United midfielder had so far enjoyed his best season at Old Trafford after earning a place in the Premier League Team of the Year.
