Arsenal's recent poor run in the Premier League has seen a section of fans demanding the return of Arsene Wenger who left his position as club manager last season.

The Gunners have suffered back-to-back defeats to Crystal Palace and Leicester City to have their hopes of finishing among the top four teams dented.

The Emirates outfit squandered a glorious chance of breaking into the top four on Sunday, April 28, after they were handed a 3-0 thrashing by the Foxes to remain fifth on the log.

Disgruntled fans now want Unai Emery shown the door at the end of the season to pave way for the reappointment of Wenger.

They took to social media to register their disappointment with Arsenal's recent lackluster performances.

@ThomasMasvosve pleaded: "Arsene Wenger please come back..... It was just a small misunderstanding."

@Maryam_Ochepa outrightly said it was time for Wenger to return to the dugout.

@Yai_adhuong was in absolute agreement.

@Mo7amed98 posted: "Wenger got abused and left for this? I’d take him back any day over this #Arsenal."

Wenger left Arsenal last season, bringing to a halt his illustrious 22-year reign at the club, with Unai Emery taking up the role.

During the Frenchman's reign, he won three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups and seven Community Shield titles.

Earlier, reported that Leicester City defeated Arsenal 3-0 on Sunday, April 28, to continue their poor performance this season in the Premier League.
