Legit.ng recently reported that Sambo Dasuki filed an application before the Federal High Court in Abuja over his ongoing $2.1 billion trial.

Dasuki in the application urged the court to invite some senior lawyers, popularly referred to as "amici curiae" - friends of the court - for his trial.

The friends of the court are set of individuals usually senior lawyers who are not party to a particular case. They can be solicited by a party to assist the court by offering advise or expertise on a case.
